This book made me feel uncomfortable until I finished to read, especially it is Also, it is written in very one-sided view of Western. 
First of all, it contains few contents in it, despite it is travel book about the world. 
Also it was difficult for me to grasp or understand the contents without additional indexes on it.
Next, there are too many prejudices against other Asian religions and civilzations such as religious prejudices, miracles and cannibalism, even they have no clear evidences or origins how they could be.
Without extra interpretations in the book about either civilization or history, it might not be able to understood both contents of book or perspectives of writer.
